Overview

The Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology has been designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of media-related subjects, including games design, website design, film, TV, radio, sound engineering and others. If you wish to explore and extend your interests via a full time, immersive learning experience, this is the course for you.

Five GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English Language and Mathematics.

The course covers introductory knowledge and the real life working skills relevant to you if you aspire to work in the media industry.Unit 1 – Introduction to creative media methods and skillsUnit 2 – Introduction to production techniques in creative mediaUnit 3 – Understanding an audience in creative media productionUnit 4 – Contextual research for creative media productionUnit 5 – Exploring audio production and technologyUnit 6 – Exploring visual production and technologyUnit 7 – Exploring interactive media production and technologyUnit 8 – Personal project and presentation in creative media production.

You will be taught by high-quality teaching and support staff, with specialist skills and industry experience. The course will be delivered through lectures and workshops, with a mixture of practical projects and written assessments for you to complete.

You will be expected to produce portfolios of evidence and a major final project which will be assessed and verified.
