Students from South Downs College Extended Diploma in Business have organised the first trip to Berlin that the department has seen. The students who are also part of Evolve, the College Enterprise Society planned the trip which took place on 15 March 2017 from start to finish, including booking flights and transport to and from the airport.
Keen to explore the iconic city, the students designed their own tour taking in Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall, The Brandenburg Gate, the main Cathedral and even the top of the main Fernsehturm Tower near Alexanderplatz.
13 students and two lecturers walked their way around the city and used public transport to ensure a truly authentic experience.
The aim of the trip was to allow people from the Business Studies department to enjoy a day of culture in a foreign country, with a wide variety of sights and sounds.
Lauren Griffin, Extended Diploma in Business said: ‘It was an amazing day!’.
