Our aim at Alton College Nursery is to make your child’s time at Nursery fun and enjoyable.
Your child will learn through play in a relaxed environment allowing them to explore and grow. We aim to work with you to ensure your child loves their Nursery experience and enables us to nurture and support them in the early stages of their life.
Alton College Nursery provides daycare for all children whether you are studying/working at the College or from the Community. Children aged between six months and five years of age attend and there is space for 28 children at a time. We are open from 8am – 5pm, term time only. See below for information about funding and the sessions we offer.

Conditions
- At time of space being offered a £30 admin fee must be paid (non refundable).
- Parents to subscribe to a minimum of 2 sessions per week (a full day is one session).
- Parents to pay for a full session even if they choose to use the service for fewer hours.
- One month’s notice is required from parents who wish to leave the nursery.
- One month’s notice is required if a parent wishes to change the number of sessions they require (albeit if they wish to enrol their children for more sessions this could be available sooner, subject to availability and mutual agreement).
- No discounts will be awarded to parents.
- No refund is available for holidays/sickness.
- Bank Holidays charged at normal rate
- Snack is charged at £0.50p (morning and afternoon – £1 a day opt in/opt out)
- If parents collect their child/ren late a fee will apply. (you must be in the queue at time of end of session
otherwise the fee will apply)
Funding for 2, 3 and 4 years is offered at Alton College Nursery.
Funding hours must be used on a sessional basis (8am – 5pm, 9am – 4.30pm, 9am – 12pm, 9am – 1pm and 1pm – 4pm).
2 Year Old Funding
2 year old funding is available if you meet specific criteria. Visit hants.gov.uk for further details to see if you are eligible and how to apply for your code. Children can start their funding the term after their 2nd birthday.
3 and 4 Year Old Funding
3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 hours of funding through the Early Years Education Scheme from the term after their 3rd birthday. Additionally, some parents may be eligible for the extended 30 hours of funding. Please go to hants.gov.uk for further details.
Please note funding applies to term time only, 38 weeks per year. For more information please ask.
